Backpacking
Backpacking takes hiking further — carrying everything needed for overnight stays and spending multiple days away from roads and infrastructure. It’s a different kind of challenge that combines navigation, gear management, and problem-solving in the field.
About
Overnight & Multi-Day Trips
Backpacking is a natural extension of day hiking. There’s a satisfying simplicity to carrying everything you need on your back and making camp wherever the trail ends for the day.
I enjoy the planning side as much as the travel itself: choosing routes, managing weight, and anticipating what conditions might look like in the field.
Skills
Navigation, campsite selection, leave-no-trace principles, water treatment, and managing gear over multiple days are all part of what makes backpacking engaging beyond just the scenery.
